Sign up to use waste disposal services

All residential and holiday properties are required to sign up to using waste disposal services. If there are multiple residential buildings on the same property, all of them are required to be included in a waste disposal arrangement. 
-    To arrange waste collection from your property, you need to make an agreement with two different service providers. For the collection of mixed waste from the purpose-specific container on your property, you need to agree with a waste management company. For the collection of biowaste and different packaging waste from their respective containers on your property, you need to agree with Ekokymppi.
-    The waste containers may be shared by neighbours (joint waste collection arrangement). 
-    If a property owner/holder does not have an agreement in place for the collection of mixed waste from the purpose-specific container on the property, the property owner/holder will be considered a user of the nearest area waste collection point by default. 
-    For housing companies, the waste disposal agreements are managed by the building manager or the housing company’s board.
